Fire Log Stool
Fall 2025
Charred white ash, tung oil.
10” x 10” x 20”
The wood for this stool was found at Le Champ des Possibles in Montreal’s Mile End. The shape of the stool is meant to express some of the original shape of the log, while presenting it in a permanently altered state. Cuts were done with hand saws, and fire was used as a preservative surface treatment, before being finished with tung oil.
